During his 30+ years in the electrical power industry, Karl has been a field and project engineer,
executive and entrepreneur. He co-founded an analytical laboratory company that became an
internationally recognized leader in providing diagnostic services for fluid filled electrical apparatus. In
addition to his work in the electrical power industry Karl co-founded an award winning marketing and
advertising agency. Karl is a Registered Electrical Engineer in the State of California, has been a licensed
electrical contractor in CA, NV, AZ and LA, a certified NETA testing engineer and a member of CIGRE, PES
and the IEEE. Karl is an active member of the IEEE transformer committee and has co-authored
numerous papers on oil diagnostic applications that have been published in NETA World, T&D Magazine
and presented at conferences such as EPRI, PowerTest, CIGRE Canada and Doble. In addition, Karl has
published on the use of digital business software technology to manage small and medium sized
companies.
